At the Antananarivo airport in you will be greeted by our guide from the agency and he will take you to the hotel.
We will leave in the morning to Andasibe. First stop will be to the Madagascar Exotic park, a private reserve where you can see lemurs, chameleons, frogs, reptiles, butterflies, and snakes.
We will continue on the road and stop for lunch before reaching Andasibe. Before evening we will reach Andasibe, where you will have time to visit the small village and explore the surroundings. We will stay here for the next 3 nights.
In the morning, we will start with a visit in the Analamazaotra Reserve where a local guide/naturalist will guide you through the park to see rare birds, precious trees, as well as the iconic Indri and Sifaka lemurs.
After the visit we will stop for lunch and the rest of the day is free for independent activities. After sunset, we will go on a night walk with the local experienced guide. This will be a rare occasion to see the smallest of the lemurs (the mouse lemur), chameleons, and frogs.
We will leave in the morning and go to the entrance of the National Park. Together with a local guide we will go through the rain forest to spot the Indi-indri lemur. The Indri is the biggest lemur in the world and has a unique and powerful call that once heard you will remember it for life. In this park you will also be able to see the black-and-white ruffed lemur, as well as a diverse primary forest wildlife. We will stop for a picnic lunch next to one of the waterfalls, and enjoy the beauty of nature.
After lunch, we will go to visit the Vakona private reserve. In this reserve, you will be able to have a close encounter with the lemurs, here the lemurs are used to interact with humans and can be touched or hugged. Part of the same reservation is a Crocodile Park, which can also be visited.
In the morning, we will leave Andasibe and to drive to Tamatave along the main road RN2, (during the trip we can enjoy the exceptionally green landscape and the typical villages and fruit markets.
After arrival in Tamatave we will check in the hotel and have lunch.
In the afternoon we will take a city tour to see the lovely main avenue, the port town which is full of very old colonial buildings, roadside markets and maybe take tour with a local pousse-pousse.
In the morning, we will start to drive towards Mahambo. Shortly after leaving Tamatave we will stop to visit the Ivoloina zoological park. Here we will spend a few hours to see the botanical garden, many different species of lemurs, chameleons, radiated tortoises, tree boas and tomato frogs.
When we arrive in Mahambo we will have lunch and check in the hotel. The rest of the day is free for various recreational activities such as surfing, swimming or just sunbathing at the beach.
We will leave early in the morning to catch the ferry boat from Soanierana-Ivongo, which will take us to the Saint-Marie island. After arrival on the island, another boat will take us to Saint-Marie where we will stay for the next 3 nights.
On the Saint-Marie island you are free to pursue any activity of your choice. The island has a tropical climate with long white-sand beaches and beautiful clear blue waters. The island culture also has developed one of the best cuisines you will encounter in Madagascar.

We will leave the wonderful island of Saint-Marie and fly back to Antananarivo.
The flight will take less than 1 hour and upon arrival one of our agencies guides will wait for you at the airport and take you to the hotel.
We will pick you up from the hotel and take you to the airport to take your return flight home.
End of the journey
Each day includes 3 meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) and accommodation at various hotels. Transportation will be done in a small (4×4) vehicle from our agency or by airplane booked by our agency in advance. Our guide will accompany you throughout the trip and will be your private ambassador to Madagascar.
The trip details for each day are an outline of what you will see and experience. Madagascar is such a divers and unique country that each place you will visit will offer a complex and unforgettable experience. The focus of this trip is to discover the unique flora and fauna that Madagascar has to offer. During the trip, you will encounter many species of lemurs, chameleons, rare birds, reptiles, and trough our local guides you will learn many interesting things about the endemic nature of Madagascar. During the 10 days, you will go from rain forests to the tropical island of Saint-Marie, and you will discover the fascinating culture and landscape of East Madagascar.
Some things cannot easily be put in to words and are truly personal experiences, such as getting to know the wonderful local Malagasy people, hearing their stories, their language, traditions and culture.
